Cork schools at Fota

The Cork County Schools Orienteering Championships, Fota, Cobh on February 3rd. 22 schools took part and over 650 pupils had a great time. The course was dry and very picturesque around the gardens. It was run off very successfully by Liam O' Brien and his C.S.O.A. team. Many thanks for the extra help we got on the day from Ted Lucey, Bobby O' Connor, David O' Donovan and the transition pupils from CBS Midleton.

Convent Mallow dominated the primary girls events again while Bunscoil Chriost Ri had a shock win in the 6th. class boys event to regain the JJ Fennessy Cup. Norah O' Brien and Frank O' Brien did their dad proud with big wins in the 1st. year boys and PJC girls events. The best competition however was in the PJC Boys individual event with a big win for Zach Harrington, Clonakilty over Tim O' Sullivan and Zach O' Sullivan- Hourihan.
