Gurteen wood for beginners
A big thank you to Wato club members (Thomas Callery, Hugh and Mary Dobbs and Norman Storey) for helping to run todays event at Gurteen wood Kilsheelan. The young children from Crehana, Gaelscoil Clonmel, Ballyneale and Powerstown managed to avoid being shot by deer hunters, chased by nut gatherers and attacked by killer bees (well mostly).
Another big turnout at the RSC in Waterford
Waterford Orienteers hosted a come and try it day at the RSC for Primary schools. Many 6th class students had run at the same venue last year so were very competitive. Full results posted to the IOA website.
Thank you to Andrew Pim, Norman Storey, Liisa Honkasaari, Nigel Pim, Hugh Dobbs, Mary Dobbs, Melanie Fitzgerald and Rebecca Cronin for all their help on the day.
